Every heater runs a pre-DEF engine, so there's no Diesel Exhaust Fluid to freeze up, run out, or fault out a unit in the cold. Daily and weekly rates are quoted per job, so you only pay for what your site needs.

How to choose

Flameless or indirect-fired?

Rent flameless when…

  • The location is classified or hazardous
  • There's any chance of hydrocarbons in the air
  • You don't want to design around a setback distance
  • You're heating a tight pad and space is short
  • Fuel burn matters over a long job

Rent indirect-fired when…

  • You're heating a large enclosure or structure
  • The location isn't classified
  • You need clean, dry ducted air at high volume
  • A single 1M BTU unit covers the whole job

Either way, both types put out clean, dry heat and both run pre-DEF engines. The real question is whether the location will tolerate a flame anywhere on the unit — and on most oilfield pads, the answer is no.

Sizing, safety and rates

What size heater do I need?

It depends on the volume of the space, how well it's sealed, and the temperature difference you're trying to hold. As a starting point:

  • TD600K — tight pads, freeze protection, ground thaw, single enclosures
  • TD750 — larger structures and rig heat
  • TD1200 — the largest and coldest sites
  • Allmand Maxi-Heat — big enclosures on non-classified locations

Can flameless heaters be used on classified or hazardous locations?

Yes — that's the main reason operators rent them. With no open flame and no spark there's no setback distance to design around, which makes them the practical choice on volatile, classified well sites.

How much fuel does a flameless heater burn?

It varies with output and load, but flameless units are materially more efficient than indirect-fired for the same job — our TD1200 runs roughly 40% less fuel than indirect-fired at comparable output.

We fuel the equipment on site, so fuel is one less thing for your crew to run down.

How long can a unit run unattended?

Our heaters are set up for 24/7 running with no DEF to top up. Runtime between fills depends on output and tank size — pair a unit with one of our 2,000 or 5,000 gallon solar fuel tanks and we'll keep it fueled on site.

Do you rent by the day or by the week?

Both. Daily and weekly rates are quoted per job so you only pay for what your site needs. Send us the equipment, location and timing and we'll come back with a quote and a delivery window.

Do you deliver, set up and pick up?

Yes. We stage the fleet in Wamsutter, deliver to your location, and come back for it when the job's done. Fuel and service in between go through your dispatch number or Iron Dispatch.
